Research Analyst Corporate/Business Intelligence

This global organisation urgently require an ambitious Research Analyst to join their expanding Corporate Intelligence Team. The opportunities exist for career development and rapid promotion in this fast-growing area.

The Corporate Intelligence Team investigates individuals and companies, providing integrity due diligence investigations into the business interests, reputation, political connections and integrity of potential business partners background checks prior to senior appointments and intelligence-gathering support in complex fraud and asset-tracing investigations.

In this varied role you will: * Conduct desktop-based research using a variety of specialist database resources including, inter alia, Factiva, Lexis-Nexis, Dialog, OneSource, ChoicePoint, and Complinet. You will conduct creative research using a variety of other online and offline public record sources, especially commercial registries and corporate databases in a variety of countries and languages * Source public record information from manual and offline sources, including using external third parties where necessary

To be successful in this role, you will: * Be educated to degree level * Speak at least one foreign language * Have excellent written English * The ability to work to deadlines * Have at least two years' relevant experience this might be either in business research using the databases cited above or other relevant experience (e.g. journalism, law enforcement, political and regional studies or NGOs) It would be advantageous if you: * are educated to MA level (especially in international relations or regional studies) * Have two or more foreign languages * Have a demonstrable interest in business risks, including money-laundering, corruption and other corporate malpractice emerging market and political risk.
